Our Beta Update!

Welcome to the fifth stage of our game design process, the Beta stage! Over the course of the past couple weeks we have been taking our game from the Pre-Beta stage to the Beta stage where we are adding our final touches and preparing for the gold release stage of the project! 

The Beta stage of our project is the next step in that progression where we now have a semblance of a fully fleshed out game, set up our official Steam page, and done enough playtesting that we now have an idea of what anyone could say in terms of things that might need to be fixed.

Gameplay Demo

This is the first gameplay demo that we have made as a budding studio! This demo showcases each of the new sections that we made for this pre-alpha release including the maze, the mirror puzzle, the PvE section, and a completely remade first level to make everything much more linear.

One of the other parts that we are incredibly proud of is the addition of many of our collectibles scattered throughout the map. Find them all and see if you can figure out what happened in this mysterious forest!

Entering the final stages of the game!

During this iteration of the game design process we had a lot to accomplish, and a lot more we had to learn in order to move on to the next stage of our project. As we enter the final stages of our game production, we have now been focusing on the finer details associated with our game: the details in the clues, debugging each of the instances in our map, and the art and design for our Steam page. 

Some new additions from our last iteration included a much more refined set of puzzles, a far more refined intro and outro cutscene, and most remarkably the reworking of each individual level for streamlining gameplay and making the environment much more aesthetic and fun to explore.
