OurAlpha Update!

Welcome to the third stage of our game design process, the Alpha stage! Over the course of the past couple weeks we have been taking our game from the Pre-Alpha stage to the Alpha stage where our game is finally starting to take shape!. 

The Alpha stage of our project is the next step in that progression where we now have started to refine our game's setting and narrative to make it finally have some semblance of the game that it will become.

Gameplay Demo

This is the first gameplay demo that we have made as a budding studio! This demo showcases each of the new sections that we made for this pre-alpha release including the maze, the mirror puzzle, the PvE section, and a completely remade first level to make everything much more linear.

One of the other parts that we are incredibly proud of is the addition of many of our collectibles scattered throughout the map. Find them all and see if you can figure out what happened in this mysterious forest!

Our third Offical Playtest!

Our third playtest was a success!

During this iteration of the game design process we had a lot to accomplish, and a lot more we had to learn in order to move on to the next stage of our project. More late nights preparing and buggy gameplay ahead of us we had a very successful Alpha playtest and gained a lot of very helpful information on how we can improve our game. 

Some new additions from our last iteration included a functional model for the staff, a a bare-bones intro and outro cutscene, and most remarkably a functional boss fight!

We have a lot of work ahead of us, but we are ready to meet the challenge!
